Orientis Partibus ("From the East")

Based on a 12th century Latin melody, this uplifting arrangement from 2016 was written for the Bethel University Wind Ensemble in St. Paul, Minnesota. The listener is guided through a series of more and more inspiring variations, culminating in a huge, memorable ending. The writing for individual instruments is brilliant, gives all sections an achievable challenge, and includes some very creative piano and percussion writing.
